A Buganda legend has it that one day, a pregnant woman by the name Nakagu Tebatuusa left her Husband’s home due to misunderstandings and decided to go back to her parents’ home. However, on reaching, the father told her to go back to her marital home. Her mother escorted her and left her as she was about to reach her husband’s house. The lady got tired and decided to rest for a while. During her rest, she gave birth to twins said to be in the form of water, and Ssezibwa is believed to be one of the twins. The other twin, called Bwanda, flowed towards the East, and Sezibwa towards the West.

As you drive along, you will come across the Namawojolo local Market, where you can grab yourself a piece of roasted chicken or plantain and other refreshments. The welcoming things will be monkeys, a gate made of reeds, gentle sounds of the Ssezibwa waterfalls, and the fresh environment full of green and trees.
