6 Days Uganda Primates Adventure. Vibrant Holiday Safaris highlights you on a 6-day Uganda Primates Adventure. We take you through every activity and movement plan from day 1 to the last day.
Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
Depending on your arrival at Entebbe international airport, the Vibrant Holiday Safaris guide will welcome you. He will thereafter take you to your hotel to relax after the long flight. Depending on your arrival time, you can either visit the Entebbe botanical gardens and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast and be transferred to Kibale National Park with a stopover at Fort Portal for lunch and visiting the Ambere ganyinamwiru stalagmites, caves, waterfalls, and crater lakes which have a beautiful view of the Rwenzori mountains then proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Primate lodge on full board basis.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast, our guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines for the tracking near Kanyanchu which will take almost half of the day with the opportunity of viewing other primates like the red colobus monkeys, pottos, blue monkey, grey-checked Mangabey, baboons, L’Hoest monkey, the golden monkey and wildlife species like the unique forest elephants, giant forest hogs, have lunch then head to Bigodi wetland Sanctuary which is the best place for birders. During a nature walk, you will be able to spot birds like Great Blue Turaco, Papyrus Gonolek, and also butterfly species. Overnight at primate lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After having a cup of tea or coffee, you will set off to Bwindi the home of Mountain Gorillas via the Ishasha sector known for the famous tree-climbing lions with lunch en route arriving late in the evening and overnight at Silverback safari lodge on a full board basis.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking Experience
After breakfast, you will head to the headquarters for a briefing with packed lunch to trekking Gorillas in the impenetrable forest where you will spend an hour with the Gorillas after trekking them for 2-8 hours. After the trek, you will head to the starting point to receive your Gorilla trekking safari certificate and back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 6: Drive Back to Kampala
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and head back to Kampala with en-route lunch at the Equator for photography and buying souvenirs then be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home or any destination of your choice.
