Endangered Mountain Gorillas are visited by a group of 8 people who are allowed only one hour to visit the gorillas in their natural wildness. Because of the fragility of the Mountain Gorillas, only visitors who are 15 years and above are the only allowed to trek Mountain Gorillas in the Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Visitors interested in buying a gorilla trekking permit in Uganda will have to contact the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters and these permits are obtained in advance about 2 months in advance. Guests need to understand their traveling time before obtaining the gorilla permit.
