Day 1: Arrival for 5 Days Uganda Rwanda Luxury Primate Safari – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

He will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in western Uganda. The drive takes approximately 7 hours including stopovers. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and sightseeing, taking in the stunning views of the Ugandan countryside. You will as well stopover at the coffee plantation along the way to get an insight on how it is grown. As you drive, you will notice the changing landscape, from the bustling city of Kampala to the rolling hills and lush forests of western Uganda. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will check-in and relax, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 2: Game drive safari in Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head out on a game drive in Ishasha sector which is known for its tree-climbing lions. Along the way, you will spot a range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. When you finally spot the wildlife, you will be amazed by their majesty and beauty. You will continue with the journey to Bwindi from where you will check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking Safari – Cultural dance performance – Transfer to Kigali
Early morning on day 3 of this 5 Days Uganda Rwanda Luxury Primate Safari, you will enjoy a heavy breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla trekking activity. Ensure to wear appropriate clothing for the day like a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of khaki trousers, a rain jacket, a mask, gloves, hiking boots, energy giving snacks and drinking water. Your driver guide will then transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts during Gorilla trekking safari. Thereafter, you’ll be assigned a park ranger and then start the trek. You will meet several birds and primates species along the way, take their pictures and enjoy the scenery.
On finding the gorillas in this 5 Days Uganda Rwanda Luxury Primate Safari, you will be allowed a full 1 hour in their presence. Use this time to notice every behavior, watch how they go about their day-to-day activities and ask many questions. Return later to your lodge for late lunch. You will be entertained by the cultural dances from the local community at the comfort of your lodge and thereafter transfer to Kigali from where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking – Iby’ Iwacu community Experience
After an early breakfast at the Lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing trekking briefing. You will then head out to the forest with your porter and park Rangers. Golden monkeys are critically endangered like mountain gorillas and several projects have been started to save them from total extinction. The monkeys can be sighted on top of short bamboo trees but will come down to forage on the ground. Take enough photos of the cute primates but do not forget to also observe them. Once you are done, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later you will visit the Gorilla guardian’s village also known as Iby’Iwacu community. While there, engage with them and learn about their history and their conservation efforts. You will enjoy their traditional dances and also be ready to be crowned king and queen of the day. Return later to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The Virunga are a chain of mountain ranges that cover Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali from where you will catch your flight back home. Also on this day, you will enjoy a City Tour of Kigali which is famously known as the cleanest city in Africa.
