Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Start your 3 Days on the Akagera National Park wildlife tour 

Today early in the morning will mark the start of our 3 Days Akagera National Park wildlife tour from  Kigali city our Vibrant Holiday Safaris guide will come and meet you and give you a brief introduction about this wonderful safari and you leave the city from your lodge to Akagera National Park. The drive from Kigali to the park will take you about 2 hours and 30 minutes and the safari guide will take you to the park gate where he will clear all the necessary entry requirements with the rangers at the gate. Here, you will enter the park and immediately go to the parks visitor information center for a briefing about Rwanda later you will drive back to your booked lodge, or at this time you can decide to have the evening game drive or try to do the boat cruise at lake Ihema to catch up with various attractions such as the school hippos, crocodiles and other animals in the park that come near the lake shore to drink water, especially during the dry conditions in the park.

Day 2: Game watching in Akagera National Park

This activity is the major highlight of this safari and this will last based on the interests you have in the animals seen in the park. Since this is the only savannah national park in Rwanda, you will get a chance to enjoy amazing animals grazing in the savannah grassland and these will include zebras, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and buffaloes as you make a stopover when you come close to them for photos as you listen to your safari drivers Narratives about such animal species that you are watching. You will spend about four hours doing the game drive and the hours could either be less or more depending on how interesting the park is to you. As you’re doing the game drive, you will also watch several bird species coming to you since the park is home to over 5000 species of birds.

Day 3: End of your 3 Days Tours 

Today marks the end of your 3 Days Akagera National Park wildlife tour and it will end with a relaxed breakfast. After having your breakfast, you can decide to go for another game drive before you return back to your booked lodge in Kigali where you will reach in the evening. You will get served breakfast and lunch at your booked lodge.
